This course is approved by the HSE for the purpose of carrying out First Aid in the Workplace. The contents of the course are as follows:

Dealing with soft tissue injuries
Dealing with cuts and embedded objects.
Burns and scalds
Fractures
Dealing with bleeding
Spinal injuries

Chest injuries
Management of sprains, strains and dislocations
Angina and heart attack
Diabetes
Anaphylactic shock
Head injuries
First aid equipment
Reporting and recording of injuries

The HSE First Aid at Work Certificate is valid for three years following qualification, after which time attendance at a re-qualification course is required.
